How LalaHero works
If you have experience worth sharing, open a page and get paid for the calls. If you want advice, book a call with someone who has already done it.
For heroes
Let your followers learn from you directly
You already answer these questions. Now you can be paid for them.
You get a page at lalahero.com/yourname. You set your rate and the times you are free. Someone books one of those times, pays before the call, and you talk to them on Google Meet. We handle the booking, the money and the changes in between.
Four steps, start to finish
- 1
Set up your page
Paste your channel link and our AI drafts the page for you. Change anything you like. Your address is lalahero.com/yourname.
- 2
Set your rate and hours
You choose your 15-minute rate and the times you are free. Change them any time.
- 3
Share your link
Put it in your bio. That link is how people reach you, so it does the work of a whole shop front.
- 4
Go live and get paid
Your page is live the moment you send it, so people can book you straight away. They pay before the call and we pay you on a Tuesday.
- Your followers already ask you this for free.
- You choose your rate, your hours and your topics.
- You receive your own rate in full on every call.
What people ask heroes about
The questions that land in your messages every week, answered live and one to one instead of typed out for free.
How they started
The first video, the first month, and what they would skip if they started again today.
Growing an audience
What actually moved the numbers, and what was a waste of a year.
Ideas and planning
Where ideas come from, and how to keep posting when the week gets away from you.
Brands and rates
What to charge, how to pitch, and what to do when a sponsor wants to change your script.
Gear and editing
What they film on, what they edit with, and what they bought and never used.
Going full time
When they stopped needing a day job, and whether they would do it again.
You set the rate, we add our fee
You pick your 15-minute rate and receive it in full. LalaHero's fee goes on top for the person booking, so a discount or a promo code never comes out of your share. Longer calls are simple multiples of your 15-minute rate.

When the money reaches you
You never have to ask anyone for money. They pay when they book, and your share waits out the window the person booking has to report a problem.
- Paid on the first Tuesday after the seeker's 3-day window to report a problem closes (so 4 to 10 days after the call), once the balance reaches RM50 (a smaller balance rolls over to the next payday).
- A RM30 deposit is held from your first payout, to cover anything you may owe later. It is yours.
- A balance under RM50 rolls over to the next payday rather than being paid out in pieces.
- Paid into the bank account you add in your hero dashboard, under your own name.
What we handle, so you do not have to
Nobody gets your number
Your email address and phone number are never shown to the person booking. Everything goes through LalaHero.
You can end a bad call
A call that turns disrespectful can be ended and flagged. You decide, our team reviews every flagged call, and a flag that stands means you keep the payment.
Your hours are yours
You set the times you are free, your notice period and how far ahead people can book. No call appears outside them.
Questions heroes ask
How do I start, and how long until I am live?
Open Be a Hero and paste a channel link. Our AI drafts your page from it, you fix anything that is wrong, set your rate and your hours, and claim your handle. Your page is live the moment you send it, at lalahero.com/yourname, and people can book you straight away. Our team reads it afterwards, usually within 24 hours, and nothing stops while we do. If we find a real problem we come to you, and we can take the page down while it is sorted.
Who can be a hero?
Mostly content creators: YouTubers, TikTokers, Instagrammers and Xiaohongshu creators who have built an audience. Also anyone with real experience worth an hour of someone's time, including athletes, founders and people deep in a trade. Nobody waits for permission to open a page. The Verified badge is the separate thing: it means our team has interviewed you, and it is optional.
How do people find my page?
Through the link you share. That is the whole idea: you already have the audience, so LalaHero does not run a public directory you have to fight your way up. Your link is lalahero.com/yourname and it works in a bio, a pinned comment, a video description or a story.
What do I earn, and what does LalaHero take?
You set your 15-minute rate and you receive it in full on every call. LalaHero's fee is added on top for the person booking, so your rate is never cut into. Longer calls are simple multiples of your 15-minute rate. Every paid booking also carries a RM1 booking fee, which the person booking pays and which is never refunded.
When do I get paid?
You are paid on the first Tuesday after the seeker's 3-day window to report a problem closes (so 4 to 10 days after the call), once the balance reaches RM50 (a smaller balance rolls over to the next payday). A RM30 deposit is held from your first payout, to cover anything you might owe later, and it is yours. Payments land in the bank account you add in your hero dashboard.
What if I need to move a call?
You can move a call up to 2 times. Before your notice period starts, the person booking simply picks a new time and nobody is charged. If something urgent comes up inside your notice period, use Emergency reschedule in Calls with me: you write the reason, your time and the Meet link are released, and they pick a new time. More than 24 hours before the call they can only pick a new time and you owe nothing. Inside 24 hours they can take a refund instead, which counts as you cancelling.
What if they do not show up?
Join up to 5 minutes before the start and wait 5 minutes after it. If they have not joined by then it is a no-show: leave the call and report it to us. They are charged in full and you are paid as normal.
Are calls recorded?
Yes. Every video call is recorded, to protect both sides, so our team can check what happened if there is a report or a refund request. Both people are told before every call and agree when they book or accept.
Who owns the recordings, and how are they used?
LalaHero owns the recordings. We use them for our own academy and internal work, and we may use them for research and development, including work with AI. We decide how to use them, and we do it in the right way: handled with care and kept secure.
Can I stop taking bookings for a while?
Yes. Turn your times off and your page says you are not taking bookings right now, with a Notify me button for anyone who lands on it. Your link keeps working and nothing is lost.

For people booking a call
Learn from the creators you follow
Borrow someone else's 10 years in a 30-minute conversation.
A private video call with the YouTubers, TikTokers and Xiaohongshu creators you already watch. Ask about your own situation, not the general version they put in a video. You reach a hero through the link they share, so start from their bio or their video.
Four steps, start to finish
- 1
Open your hero's link
They post it themselves, as lalahero.com/theirname. Their page shows their experience, languages, times and price up front.
- 2
Pick a time
Choose 15, 30, 60 or 90 minutes and a slot that suits you. Times are shown in your own timezone.
- 3
Pay through LalaHero
You pay us, not the hero. Nobody shares an email address or phone number.
- 4
Talk on Google Meet
Your link comes with the booking. Bring your questions and get personal advice.
Simple, upfront prices
Every hero sets their own rate. Longer calls are simple multiples of the 15-minute price, and you always see the total before you pay.

Why you can trust it
Verified heroes
The Verified badge means our team has interviewed them.
Private
No email address or phone number is shared between you and your hero.
In your language
Each hero lists the languages they speak. The price is the same in all of them.
Be kind on every call
Heroes are giving you their time and their experience. Good calls start with respect. A hero can end a call that turns disrespectful and flag it. The hero decides, and our team reviews every flagged call thoroughly.
- Be on time and come with a clear question.
- Be respectful and patient. Heroes are people sharing their time.
- Don't pressure a hero for personal contact details.
- Say thanks. A good call is worth a good review.
Questions people ask
How do I find a hero?
Through their own link. Heroes share lalahero.com/theirname with their own followers, so you will have come from a bio, a video description or a message. LalaHero does not run a public list of everybody: the people booking a hero are the people who already follow them.
Who are the heroes?
Mostly content creators: YouTubers, TikTokers, Instagrammers and Xiaohongshu creators who have built an audience, plus community members with real experience. Some have a Verified badge, which means our team has interviewed them.
What can I ask in a call?
Anything your hero can help with. Each profile lists the topics under “How I can help”. With creators, popular questions are how they started, how they plan their content, how they grew an audience and how they work with brands.
How does payment work?
You pay LalaHero, not the hero, and you see the total in RM before you confirm. The hero receives the rate they set, and LalaHero's fee is added on top for you. Every paid booking also carries a RM1 booking fee, which is not refunded. A call made free by a promo code has none. Heroes never see your payment details, and your email address and phone number are never shared.
Which languages can I book in?
It depends on the hero. Mainly English, Chinese and Malay, and other languages too. Each hero lists the languages they speak on their page, and the price is the same in every language.
How does the money-back guarantee work?
If you are unhappy with a call, tell the LalaHero team. We look into every case, and whether we refund you depends on what our checking finds. A call that a hero ended and flagged because of disrespectful behaviour is reviewed carefully too.
Can I cancel or reschedule a call?
Bookings cannot be cancelled, because your hero has kept that time for you. You can reschedule a booking up to 2 times, from My bookings. There are no charges until your hero's notice time before the call (for example 3 days, shown on your booking). After that, until 24 hours before the call, a move costs 30% of the full call price (promo codes do not apply) plus the RM1 booking fee. Inside 24 hours it cannot be moved. A call that cost nothing always moves with no charges.
What if my hero cannot make it?
If your hero cancels, the price of your call goes back to your card straight away. If your hero does not show up, you ask for it back in My bookings within 3 days after the call. The RM1 booking fee is not refunded. If your hero cancels a call you booked with a promo code, the code is given back so you can use it again. If your hero needs another time, they tell you why in My bookings and you choose a new date that suits you, with no charges. You have 21 days to pick one. If you do not pick in time, your booking turns into credit.
What if I am late or do not show up?
Join up to 5 minutes before the start. You and your hero each wait 5 minutes after the start. If the other person has not joined by then, it is a no-show: leave the video call and report it to us. If you are the one who misses it, you are charged the full price, with no refund. If your hero does not show, you are covered: see the answer above. Be ready 15 minutes early.
Are calls recorded?
Yes. Every video call is recorded. This is to protect everyone, heroes and seekers, so our team can check what happened if there is a report or a refund request. Both sides are told before every call, and agree when they book or accept.
Who owns the recordings, and how are they used?
LalaHero owns the recordings. We use them for our own academy and internal work, and we may use them for research and development, including work with AI. We decide how to use them, and we do it in the right way: handled with care and kept secure.
What is expected on a call?
Be kind, be on time and bring a question. A hero can end a call that turns disrespectful and flag it. The hero decides, and our team reviews every flagged call thoroughly. If a flag is upheld, the hero keeps the payment.
